New to 2026, we are launching a 3×3 Girls’ Only Basketball League in Term 2, designed to give more girls the chance to compete, develop their skills, and experience high-energy basketball.

Grades Available:

Year 7/8 | Year 9/10 | Year 11-13

The 3x3 format makes the game more accessible for girls by requiring smaller teams and creating more opportunities to get involved. With fewer players on the court, athletes get more touches on the ball, make more decisions, and develop skills faster. The full-court style of play also creates a fast, exciting game that builds fitness and confidence.

The league begins with three regional pools (Far/Mid North, Whangārei, and Kaipara) where teams compete over six weeks to determine the top two teams in each grade. Those top teams (only from Yr 9/10 and Yr 11-13) then come together at McKay Stadium for a three-week championship series to crown the Northland Unrivaled winners.
